It is a masjid -- it has not been a temple. There are many temples older than the masjid in Jaunpur. It makes no sense for those temples to be in existence if muslims were so destructive. The allegation of the temple because some non-muslims cannot bear having to acknowledges were a source of good to their country. Only in India could an archelogically important structure such as the Babri Masjid be destroyed and the criminals be elected into government, is it of any surprise that those same people make a similar groundless claim against the Atala Masjid?

every temple is re-modified by muslims and given re-name as mosque. The credits of hindu style and the name are borrowed by muslims.... so I dont think it is great monuments as Atala Masjid but great as Atala Devi Temple
